Dear Friends and Family,
Jim and I are once again fund-raising for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). This time we are going to San Diego the weekend of October 19th where we will participate in the 25th Annual Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon Challenge! I know we will do the bike portion, and I may attempt the swim as well. In addition to the Triathlon, I will participate in several clinics to help my walking mobility, and improve my swimming.
This is why I love CAF. CAF raises money to help people with physical challenges pursue an active lifestyle through physical fitness and athletics. CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active lifestyles every opportunity to participate in the sports they love. I have been a beneficiary of CAF’s help. And 10s of thousands of others have been beneficiaries as well, whether it’s receiving a sports wheelchair to be able to race, play basketball or tennis, a handcycle to bike, a running leg to run, or a grant to participate in an event, CAF is there to help physically challenged individuals engage in sport.
By making a donation towards my fundraising goal you will provide individuals with physical challenges with the tools necessary to find success in sports — and in life! I appreciate any support you can provide.
